CBSPD Listing of CS/SPD Courses

The CBSPD is attempting to develop a list of all SPD courses out there as a reference for people looking for this type of training. Even if the registration deadline has passed, we will still keep the course on our list for future reference (or until it is asked to be deleted).

If you have information about an SPD course that you would like to share, please fill out our on-line form. A course listing will be provided on this page for free.

Does your course need to be removed? Please contact webmaster@sterileprocessing.org
with the Reference # assigned to your course on this page.

The CBSPD is not affiliated with any of the courses on this page but they may be used for training for our exams as long as the instructors are either IAHCSMM/CBSPD certified or have extensive experience in the field. Be sure to investigate each course before you sign up to be sure that it is a course that offers good training from a professional and that the course is using at least the Basics of Sterile Processing Textbook (made by Sterile Processing University). If any course offers only the old ASHCSP Tech Training Manual or any IAHCSMM textbook, then it will greatly decrease your chance of passing any of the CBSPD certification exams. The CBSPD reserves the right to remove any course listed on this page if deemed necessary.

** Current Number of Courses Posted = 30**

Comments: The SPT training program is a 5-wk program consisting of 120 training hours. The program will help students in the best practice for their profession. The course training is very comprehensive, so that an individual will succeed in the National Board Certification Exam. We provide the tools and the resources for our students to succeed. Our training program allows students to "digest" or process the information slowly and at an extended period of time in order to retain the necessary knowledge and skills.

After successful passing of the National Board Certification Exam, students are eligible to apply for the externship program or clinical component. Positions in the externship program are contigent on availability at each clinical site location. Niles College will be assisting students in every way possible to obtain this externship program.
